Pakistan Launches Digital ID Wallet for Citizens

 In a major step towards digital governance, the Government of Pakistan has officially launched the Digital ID Wallet, allowing citizens to securely access their national identity documents through a mobile app.

The wallet will initially include CNIC and driving license details, with plans to add academic records and health data in future updates. The initiative is designed to reduce paperwork, enhance data security, and streamline public service access.

Federal IT Minister stated, “This digital transformation will help us enter a new era of smart governance, empowering every citizen.”
